About Us

Who we are, and where we're headed.

Our Story

The Hein Institute for Community Renewal operates under Waterloo Church, Inc., a Colorado-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 46-3984737) originally formed in Texas in 2013. Waterloo Church received IRS tax-exempt recognition in 2014 and has served the Longmont, Colorado community from its property at 904 Atwood St.

Our board is in the process of shaping the organization's next chapter — moving from our roots as a congregation toward a focus on heritage preservation and community education. That work is ongoing, and we're building this new identity thoughtfully, one program at a time.
